Material Handler

*Materials Handler* *Contract – Onsite in Salinas OR San Jose* *Flexible 8-hour shifts between 10am – 11pm * We are currently partnered with a leading *aerospace company* that is seeking a Materials Handler to play an important role in ensuring materials and finished products are received, stored, moved, and shipped accurately and safely within the warehouse. *Your Responsibilities* * Receive materials and supplies by verifying purchase order information in the ERP system, including PO numbers, part numbers, quantities, and other relevant details. * Accurately document material receipts and put away parts in the appropriate storage locations. * Pull and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders, ensuring the correct items are delivered to production. * Deliver production materials and supplies where needed and stage finished products for final distribution. * Locate, pick, and pack materials for shipment. * Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securely securing products. * Document product shipments by accurately recording units shipped and maintaining shipment records. * Maintain inventory by identifying and labeling materials, keeping supplies properly stocked, recording inventory locations, and reporting shortages or discrepancies. * Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to safely move materials and products. Forklift certification is a plus. * Assist with loading and unloading trucks, including signaling equipment operators when required. * Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and performing basic operator repairs when necessary. * Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment. * Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable workplace safety regulations. *What You’ll Bring* * *2+ years of relevant warehouse experience*, ideally in shipping and receiving, kitting, packing, or a similar environment. * Experience using *ERP systems* to manage inventory, orders, and material movements; *SAP experience is a plus*. * Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to support colleagues across the operation. * Ability to *lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs. independently*. * Ability to *visually distinguish colors* as required for the role. * A valid *California driver's license*. * *Forklift certification and/or operator experience* is highly desirable and will be considered a bonus qualification.
