Position OverviewUS Modules is seeking a Production Material Handler to support manufacturing operations at its solar module production facility in College Station, TX. This role is responsible for receiving, staging, transporting, and supplying materials to production lines to ensure uninterrupted and efficient manufacturing operations. The position plays a critical role in safety, inventory accuracy, and production flow, consistent with practices used by top-tier solar manufacturers.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Production SupportMove raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to and from production lines. Stage materials according to production schedules and work instructions. Ensure production lines are supplied with the correct materials at the right time. Remove scrap, waste, and empty containers from production areas. Support line changeovers and production ramp-ups. Inventory & DocumentationAccurately track materials using inventory systems and production logs. Perform material transactions (receipts, issues, transfers) as required. Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories. Identify and report material shortages, damages, or discrepancies. Equipment & SafetySafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment. Follow all OSHA, site safety, and material handling procedures. Maintain clean and organized storage and staging areas (5S). Report safety hazards, near misses, and equipment issues promptly. Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required. 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling preferred. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred). Basic computer skills for inventory and production tracking. Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions. Preferred QualificationsExperience in solar module, electronics, or automated manufacturing environments. Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems. Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S concepts. Experience supporting high-volume production lines. Physical & Work Environment RequirementsThis role requires working on the manufacturing floor and in warehouse areas. This position involves standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating forklifts, and working around automated equipment. PPE is required at all times. Shift work, overtime, and weekend work may be required based on production needs.Work ScheduleFull-time. 12-hour shifts available for both day shift and night shift. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
