Kitchen SupportAssist with ensuring the overall success of the Culinary Services department while following Company procedures. Daily duties may include preparing, washing, and storing dishes; helping serve meals; and clearing dishes at residents' tables.Minimum Job Qualifications And RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalentMust be 18 years of ageHave a general knowledge of cleaning and sanitationMaintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state regulationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and politely in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staffMeets state health related requirements (as applicable for position)Ability to work in a team setting and be a positive team playerMaintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residentsAbility to keep all business and operations information confidentialPossess excellent customer service and organizational skillsAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performanceAbility to work under time constraints and meet department deadlinesAbility to follow and adhere to policies, procedures, and standardsSatisfactorily pass Company's and state regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance (if applicable)Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare, wash, and store dishes following company proceduresClean and maintain an orderly and safe dishwashing areaAssist in bussing, serving, and delivery of meals and/or room trays if neededSetting and clearing of tables in dining roomAssist Cooks in cleaning the food preparation and serving areas and equipment, sweeping, and mopping of floors, and complete assigned cleaning duties dailyDocument and complete dishwasher temperature log at required timesEmpties garbage as needed and moves to proper dump siteWork as part of the culinary team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchenDocument and complete closing checklist and ensure that kitchen is swept, mopped, and cleanedAdhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisorMay be assigned to any other job function in the Community on a relief basisOther Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community management, or othersMeet the assigned work requirements of the job.
