Contracts Paralegal/Specialist

Our client is seeking a Contracts Paralegal/Specialist. This role plays a critical part in managing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, pivots quickly, and is comfortable driving the contract process without relying on templates.You will serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners regarding contract terms, negotiations, and risk considerations.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts: client agreements, vendor contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, confidentiality agreements, and more.Lead contract negotiations directly with clients, suppliers, vendors, or subcontractors.Exercise independent judgment when modifying or redlining contract language within defined risk parameters.Interpret contract terms, propose alternative language, and manage redlines through execution.Ensure completeness and accuracy of all incorporated documents and referenced materials.Communicate key contract provisions to internal teams to ensure compliance with requirements (e.g., EEO, prevailing wage, specific labor or union requirements).Support project managers and coordinators through contract formation and execution.Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout the contract process.Identify and escalate legal or high‑risk issues appropriately.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.QualificationsParalegal Certificate requiredDegree in Paralegal Studies or an equivalent combination of education and legal/contract experience5+ years of relevant experience in contracts, negotiation, or similar legal support rolesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to independently negotiate and interpret contract terms in a fast‑paced environmentStrong time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervisionExperience effectively presenting information to small groups or stakeholdersStrong problem‑solving skills and the ability to interpret contract documents and project specificationsAbility to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive, professional attitudeComfortable working in a legal‑focused environmentExperience working in industries involving complex vendor or subcontractor relationships (construction industry experience is a plus but not required)
