We are currently supporting a leading organisation operating within the data centre and critical infrastructure sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering professional with experience working within mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or highly regulated environments, particularly those with exposure to complex electrical systems and infrastructure.
*The Role*
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and optimisation of electrical systems across critical infrastructure projects.
*Key responsibilities will include:*
* Supporting the delivery of electrical engineering projects from design through to completion.
* Reviewing electrical designs, drawings and technical specifications.
* Working with project, construction and commissioning teams to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely and to specification.
* Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities.
* Identifying and resolving technical issues on electrical systems.
* Ensuring work is completed in accordance with relevant safety, quality and engineering standards.
* Liaising with contractors, suppliers and other engineering disciplines.
* Producing and reviewing technical documentation, reports and engineering records.
* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across electrical infrastructure.
*Key Experience*
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
* A degree/HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Professional experience in electrical engineering within data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial, commercial, utilities, manufacturing or similar environments.
* Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems.
* Experience with LV/MV electrical systems and associated equipment.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
* Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
* Strong understanding of electrical safety and relevant industry standards.
* Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with generators, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, BMS/controls, protection systems and commissioning would be highly advantageous.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
