Administrative Coordinator
Andover MSAT - Operations Management Support.
This position is a cross between Administrative Coordinator, Administrative Support and Science Support.
The Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) team at Pfizer is looking for an expert multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to support our multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers in Andover, MA. The group supports Pfizer’s portfolio of late-stage development and commercial vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, and is responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements and second-generation process development.
We are looking for a Team player with strong organizational skills to scope and perform moderately complex tasks independently.
Primary responsibilities will include support of business processes for the department – as examples:
Purchasing, including creating purchase orders, resolving issues, managing workflows and reconciliation and reporting [including laboratory equipment and supplies and office supplies]
Recruiting and on-boarding support from interview scheduling to providing general orientation to new employees.
Requesting maintenance and facilities support and following through to closure
Other processes as assigned.
Candidates will also be asked to:
Organize and schedule appointments, including interview schedules and other complicated logistical arrangements.
Support collation of data for weekly Visual Management Meetings, prepare regularly scheduled reports.
Support experimental reporting with data entry
Create and maintain files and spreadsheets, collect and collate information
Plan meetings, both on-site and virtually, provide support to visitors
Book travel arrangements, submit and reconcile expense reports
Hard Skill:
Must understand science language and terminology as they are supporting the MSAT team.
Soft Skill:
Biotech Experience is a plus.

Self-motivated, engaged collaborative, open and transparent. Quick learner.
Fluency with Microsoft Office (TEAMS, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Experience with leveraging the TEAMS environment and integrated applications is highly preferred (FORMS, Workflow, PowerAutomate, etc). Comfortable and experienced using tools to support a team in a remote/virtual setting is essential.
Ability to work and think through problems in a self-directed manner.
Identifies opportunities for efficiencies in work practices and collaborates to develop and implement solutions
Team player with strong organizational skills, prioritizes to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attention to detail and accuracy, maintains confidential information.
REFERENCE CHECK QUESTIONS:
Looking for someone who will proactively use resources available, search them out, create networks to get work done.
Candidate will need to help the group shape and form the position, experience stepping into new positions a plus.
Experience supporting a broad and diverse group and balancing multiple business processes is essential. Would want references to vouch for the candidate’s ability to translate past experiences (see job description for some examples) into support at Pfizer.
Pfizer Experience a plus (familiarity with Outlook conference room scheduling, manufacturing and/or laboratory group support), ability to navigate in and adapt to a large corporate environment.
Fluency in Microsoft Office is essential – examples of applying the tools to simplify and facilitate the flow of work processes would be most valuable.

This position reports into the MSAT Andover Leadership Team and is managed by a Senior Manager/EngineerPosition Comments visible to MSP and Supplier:-Reference checks MUST be ran.

- Seeking individual who will take charge for the team. Someone to lean on, help create and define processes for the team based off their working experience. Someone who is a critical thinker, thinks outside of the box. Can help streamline the team/organize the team. Not only someone to do the day-to-day admin work but someone with coordinator exp./coordinator mindset.

- Support lab activities. Data entry for samples will be a big task. Will be supporting the scientists in the group and looking to take over their administrative tasks.
- Background: Must understand science language and terminology as they are supporting the MSAT team.
- Must have admin support in the past.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
