M-F shifts vary (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM / 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience starting IVs Description: The department has a CT scanner, specifically a 16-slice Siemens Emotion, equipped with a Bracco injector. Common imaging studies performed include all body and orthopedic scans, such as chest X-rays, knee X-rays, spines, and skulls. CT procedures include Angio CT for the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and stroke, as well as CT abdomen and pelvis with contrast. The average number of scans/studies per day is between 1 to 15. The department uses EPIC for EMR and McKesson PACS, transitioning to Merge PACS by the end of June. Department-specific equipment includes Siemens RF and CT, Carestream DRX Portable, Philips ultrasound, and GE MAC 5500 EKG. Radiologists are available on-site three days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, with after-hours support from offsite services. Technologists are required to start IVs on outpatients, while emergency department staff will handle IV starts for ED patients. The scheduling includes preferred 5-8 hour shifts, with variations including 4-9 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts ranging from Sunday to Wednesday. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, including one weekend a month. Call or standby duties are required, with a 30-minute response time. Scrubs are not provided; steel gray scrubs are the expected dress code. Department-specific orientation will be provided. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
