Staff Psychiatrist
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, providing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for patients with various psychiatric disorders. This role requires expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions such as PTSD, addiction, and geriatric mental health issues. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for your patients through effective therapy and patient care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapy and counseling services to patients, focusing on behavioral health and mental health issues.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology.
Stay current with advancements in psychiatric practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Provide addiction counseling as needed, supporting patients through their recovery journey.
Engage with geriatric patients, addressing their unique mental health challenges.
Experience
A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution is required.
Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred.
Proven experience in PTSD care, behavioral health, mental health counseling, and therapy is highly desirable.
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and effective patient care strategies.
Experience working with geriatric populations and understanding their specific needs is a plus.
Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
Assignment Overview:
Flexible Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Beeper call shifts required at some facilities
Patient Volume: ~8-12 per day
Variety of settings are available
Cases: Adult psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry, or telehealth psychiatry
Multidisciplinary support staff
Workstations provided for telehealth providers
Must be board-certified

Psychiatrist Young Adult (total 2, full time 52 weeks a year)
Psych Jail (total 8, full time 52 weeks a year)
Psych Telehealth (total 3, full time 52 weeks a year)
Young Adult Psychiatrist (total 1, full time 52 weeks a year)

Pay: $190.00 - $205.00 per hour
