Unit NotesREQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION:- Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN- Clinician's middle initial- Requested time off- Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiatedDepartment: Cardio Thoracic | RN- # Beds: 70- Nurse: Patient Ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6.- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS recommended.much any lung surgery - lots of chest tubes, esophagectomy (not fresh from PACU), gen medoverflow.- Experience or 'Must have' skills: EKG interpretation, medication titration; RN licensure, BLS, EKGinterpretation, all basic nursing skills.- Are RN's required to titrate drips?: Yes.- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: We titrate drips mainly Cardizem and heparin.- Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift?: Does the charge nurse take anassignment?: 24/7 charge, rarely take patients. House supervisor 24/7.- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: PCTs Days 1:8-9, Eves 1:9-10,Nights 1: 10-12.besides trouble shoot?: Cpap, Bipap if isit is their home regimen, heated high flo w only in specialcircumstances with COVID patients.- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brandtechs.- Shifts & Scheduling: 12s, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730.- Weekend Requirements: Every other; Days: Saturday/Sunday. Nights: Friday/Saturday orSaturday/Sunday.- Holiday Requirements: Yes, rotation; Holidays are: Days: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day,Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day.
