2026 Summer Internship - Backend Software Engineering Intern

We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineering Intern to join our team and support customer-facing verification and vendor integration initiatives. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on real production systems and contribute to APIs, data workflows, and backend services that power critical parts of our platform.This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you’ll ship meaningful code and gain exposure to modern backend architecture.What You’ll Work OnBuild and enhance backend services using Python (FastAPI)Develop and maintain REST APIs and webhook integrationsWrite and optimize SQL queries against relational databasesSupport vendor integrations and verification workflowsContribute to testing, debugging, and improving system reliabilityCollaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver features end-to-endWhat We’re Looking ForStrong foundation in PythonExperience with or interest in FastAPI or similar web frameworksSolid understanding of algorithms and data structuresStrong knowledge of relational databases and SQLClear communicator and strong team playerComfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environmentEager to learn and take ownership of assigned workBonus PointsExperience with API integrations or webhooksFamiliarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)Exposure to CI/CD or Git workflows$24 - $24 an hourWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
