Project Manager

A Project Manager with 10-15 years' experience and responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise for Highway and Roadway projects. The Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. Required:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferredProfessional Engineer License (PE) requiredMinimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required; a minimum of 4 years of project management experience requiredPrevious highway background requiredExpert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practicesAdvanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineeringAbility to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a teamEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiencesProficiency with MS Office software requiredActive role in a professional engineering society/organization preferredExperience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects requiredExperience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management requiredDemonstrated experience in managing client relationshipsExperience understanding and interpreting client contract requirementsAbility to track and oversee multiple projects requiredKnowledge of Deltek Vision preferredKnowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferredAbility to travel as needed requiredConsulting industry experience highly preferred Job Responsibilities:The Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents.This individual is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations.Project Manager develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.
