DescriptionThe Process Assistant is assigned to the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to the different Fulfillment Center areas.Key Job Elements:Support and work in the department as requiredHelping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliersProviding vacation coverage for Area ManagersProviding policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hoursAssisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP complianceEnsuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performanceParticipating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacityFilling in as needed with production dutiesFully understanding workflow and daily production goalsReviewing and updating SOP as requiredAssisting in keeping work area clean and organizedIdentifying and addressing safety hazards within the work areaCoaching associates to work safely at all timesParticipating in safety initiativesReferring all job injuries immediately to area managerBasic Qualifications1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experienceHigh school or equivalentWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysCan lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reachWork 40 hours/week, and overtime as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience in problem solving and delivering resultsExperience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement ProcessKnowledge of project and product quality tools like Six Sigma or Lean operations1+ years of Problem Solve process path experienceExperience leading and influencing your team or organizationEducation beyond High School, and/or prior experience managing employeesDemonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of Amazon associates and managementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
