The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community.Key Responsibilities:*Patient Care: *Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessmentsDevelop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditionsPerform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health educationManage common illnesses and injuries, and coordinate care for more complex casesProvide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics*Community Engagement:Foster relationships with patients and their families, understanding and addressing their unique needsParticipate in community health initiatives and educational programsBuild trust within the community and advocate for the healthcare needs of the population*Collaboration and Coordination: *Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staffCoordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as neededUtilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care and consultation*Administrative Duties: *Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standardsManage administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and billing, as requiredParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines*Emergency Care: ** Provide emergency medical care for urgent health issues when necessary* Be prepared to handle a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting*Professional Development: ** Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements* Participate in professional organizations and conferences relevant to primary careQualifications:Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical schoolLicensure: Valid medical license in NC or eligibility for licensureBoard Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related fieldExperience: Previous experience in a rural or underserved setting is preferred but not requiredSkills:Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needsProficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologiesWorking Conditions:Environment: ClinicHours: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)Physical Requirements: the ability to perform medical procedures and lift/pull patients as neededBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageMalpractice insurance coverageContinuing medical education (CME) allowanceOpportunities for professional growth and community involvementHealth System:For more than 90 years, Health System has been delivering quality health care close to home.
