The hours for this position are 7am until finished; weekday and weekend availability is required. PRIMARY PURPOSEA Breakfast Supervisor is responsible for supervising and participating in daily comp Breakfast operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESOversee and help in preparation of food during Breakfast shift Assist and support breakfast team members in setting up before service, taking care of guest during service and cleaning up after service Visually inspect food quality and presentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company food handling and food storage procedures Supervise, support, schedule, train, assign daily work and inform team members in all breakfast activities and operations Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 3 years of experience working in a customer facing food service position is required Previous food service experience at a hotel is preferred Ability to get to work on time as scheduled and work the early morning shift (breakfast area must be set up by 6 AM daily). Ability to present a professional demeanor, both in appearance and communication skills Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests ServSafe Certification preferred Must be able to multi- task and prioritize tasks when needed Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills Must have strong written and oral communication skills Must have basic knowledge of the proper use, maintenance, and cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment, and basic knowledge of food preparation. JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployees in this position work primarily indoors. Employees work in a customer- facing environment, and must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements. Employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
