Sr. Data Architect
Senior Data Architect – Remote (US Citizenship Required)
This position will support the design, structure, governance, and integration of enterprise data across systems.
This role is responsible for establishing scalable data architectures, defining common data models, and ensuring data is accessible, high-quality, and aligned with both analytical and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise data strategy, architecture frameworks, and data governance practices, with a strong ability to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap
Develop and implement common data models to support Servicers and cross-functional systems
Design end-to-end data flows , including data ingestion, transformation, integration, and consumption
Establish and enforce data governance frameworks , including policies, standards, and stewardship processes
Define metadata management standards and ensure proper data cataloging and lineage tracking
Implement and monitor data quality frameworks , ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets
Collaborate with business, analytics, and technology teams to ensure data supports reporting, analytics, and operational use cases
Guide the design of data integration solutions across heterogeneous systems (on-prem and cloud)
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, analysts, and junior architects
Evaluate and recommend data platforms, tools, and technologies to support enterprise needs
Drive adoption of best practices in data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures and integration frameworks
Hands-on experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality tools
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data ecosystems
Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration tools
Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies
Experience working with API-based and event-driven data architectures
Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or federal data standards)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
Strong communication skills, and team player
Minimum of bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with federal data architecture frameworks or large-scale government systems
Experience with data catalogs, lineage tools, and governance platforms
Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Architect, etc.)
Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines and advanced analytics platforms
