Position Overview: At Hotel ZaZa, the Banquet Chef plays a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for events, meetings, and special occasions. This position is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality banquet menus that reflect our luxury boutique brand. Working closely with the culinary and banquet teams, the Banquet Chef ensures consistency, efficiency, and excellence in every dish, while maintaining a strong focus on presentation, timing, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and execute all banquet food items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and event specifications Oversee banquet kitchen operations during events, ensuring timely and accurate food production Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on menu development, plating, and execution strategies Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety regulations Coordinate with banquet and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and communication Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency across all banquet functions Assist with inventory management, ordering, and minimizing food waste Supervise and support culinary team members, providing guidance and maintaining a positive, efficient work environment Execute opening and closing duties, including kitchen setup, breakdown, and cleanliness Qualifications: Strong culinary skills with a focus on consistency, presentation, and quality Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high- pressure environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Knowledge of food and safety standards and sanitation regulations Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds Why Join Hotel ZaZa?
