About the Role: The Supervisor - Housekeeping plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hospitality establishment, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant experience. This position involves overseeing the housekeeping staff, coordinating daily cleaning schedules, and ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The supervisor will also be responsible for training new staff members, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that may arise in a timely manner. By fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork, the supervisor will help to enhance staff morale and productivity. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat visits. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in hospitality management or a related field. Experience with inventory management and scheduling software. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards. Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels. Address guest complaints and feedback regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong leadership abilities, which are essential for guiding and motivating the housekeeping team. Attention to detail is crucial, as the supervisor must ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with both staff and guests, addressing concerns, and providing feedback. Time management skills will be utilized to prioritize tasks and ensure that all areas are cleaned efficiently within the designated time frames. Preferred skills: Familiarity with inventory management systems, will enhance the supervisor's ability to maintain adequate supplies and streamline operations.
