If so, we'd love to hear from you!About The RoleJARS Cannabis is seeking a Retail General Manager to plan and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations in our high-volume cannabis dispensary. The Retail General Manager leads a team of assistant and inventory managers and is accountable for all aspects of managing a single retail store, as well as all other projects and duties assigned.You will be responsible for managing personnel, customer relations, sales goals, inventory, and the daily operations of all store-related matters while adhering to strict state and CRA regulatory guidelines. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain deals, protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards, values, and leadership code.Successful candidates will complete mandatory training through JARS University - conducted both virtually and in-person at our mock-store training facility.Job DutiesCommunicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in sales and serviceCarry out all assigned operational, sales, and retail tasks put forth by the companyProtect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss preventionFulfill staffing needs and coordinate schedulingManage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service that embodies the JARS brand, increasing customer retentionOversee online orders and curbside operations to ensure orders are being fulfilled by designated employeesForecast and adjust payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workloadManage and motivate staff including hiring, terminations, performance management, and recognitionReview and assist in receiving all deliveries with diligence and accuracy, in accordance with company and state regulationsOversee supply orders placed by Assistant ManagersHandle customer returns and discount codesEnsure team members are trained in accordance with JARS training processes and set up for successOversee and drive all back-of-house processes, including special orders, accounting procedures (tips, cash sheets, etc.), employee samples, product merchandising, and weekly dealsUtilize reporting tools available in the POS system to motivate employees to push sales and promotionsEffectively resolve escalated customer issues and drive repeat businessIdentify under-performing metrics and develop strategies leveraging company programs, tools, and resources to improve and grow the businessPromote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear directionEnsure compliance with all JARS policies, procedures, and standards, as well as CRA and state lawsOversee inventory to ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with JARS policies and CRA and state regulationsEnsure e-commerce pages and online menus are up-to-date and accurateDirect and communicate goals and duties with Assistant ManagersMaintain a strong, professional, and communicative relationship with the District ManagerOther duties may be assigned as needed or warranted by upper managementRequirementsMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 5 years of retail management experienceKnowledge of, or a willingness to learn, state-specific cannabis laws and CRA regulatory complianceMust have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to identify top talent and train, develop, and retain great peopleMust have strong mathematical and accounting skillsMust have a natural sense of accountability and a Team Player mentalityTreats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust, and upholds organizational goals with integrityWork Atmosphere/Physical DemandsRequires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretchingAbility to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipmentMoving up to 30 pounds on occasionWork will generally be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensaryInvolves frequent contact with patients and staffWill require working varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasionJob Type: Full-timeSchedule10-hour shift8-hour shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayWeekend availability requiredWhy JARS Cannabis?At JARS Cannabis, we pride ourselves on being more than just a retailer - we are a community.
