The ED RN assesses patient needs, identifies urgent or emergent care priorities, collaborates on direct care, applies appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient progress. The ED RN is skilled in various invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions necessary for managing life-threatening and routine emergency situations./n/nResponsibilities/n/n- Connects with patients and families during triage, identifying necessary management and prioritizing care based on Triage Standards./n- Conducts primary assessments of critical needs and documents any deviations from norms for all age groups./n- Builds mutual trust and cooperation among team members for optimal patient outcomes./n- Prepares patients and families for diagnostic procedures and teaches necessary post-emergency care./n- Maintains awareness of patient conditions and updates communication boards throughout their ED stay./n/n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n/n- One year of acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse./n- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certifications (AHA or RQI only)./n- New York State Registered Nurse Licensure./n/n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/nAt ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
