Pediatric - Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon for an intensive weekend coverage block. This role involves 24/7 responsibility for inpatient rounds, new consultations, and trauma cases within a premier Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 1 Pediatric Facility . Clinical Schedule & WorkloadShift Times: July 24 at 6:00 AM July 27 at 6:00 AM (Continuous 24-hour coverage).Scope: Inpatient rounding (unassigned patients), trauma evaluations, and surgical consults.Volume: Average Call-Back: 100%.Average Admissions: 2 per shift.Average Patients Seen: 5 per shift.Response Time: 15-minute emergency response required.Support Staff: Independent coverage (Support staff listed as 0 for this specific rotation). RequirementsCertification: Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery (Fellowship Required).Licensure: Active State Medical License is Mandatory . (IMLC/Compact licenses are NOT accepted for this role).Life Support: Must hold active ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.Background: Candidates must have a completely clean NPDB and Malpractice history to qualify for temporary privileges.EMR: Epic. Facility ProfileTrauma Level: Level 1.Pediatric Level: Level 1.Stroke Certified: Yes.Department Size: 135 Beds. Timeline & LogisticsCredentialing: Standard process is 90 days, but Temporary Privileges are available for providers who are internally credentialed or have clean backgrounds to meet the July start.Future Outlook: While these are the only current dates, an ongoing need is anticipated.
