The world runs on data. Data runs on STACK.The PositionAt STACK, the Staff Accountant is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will execute key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, monthly and annual financial reporting and assisting with annual audits.To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).Support the month-end close process through completion of recurring tasks and journal entriesPrepare monthly reconciliations for cash, accounts receivable, depreciation and amortization, accounts payable and accrued expenses, etc. Ensure account reconciliations are prepared accurately and timely, researching discrepancies as neededManage and maintain fixed asset accounting and capitalization policiesEvaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accuratelyEnsure proper recording of monthly capital call processProvide support and prepare documentation for quarterly reporting requirements and annual external auditsEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal departments, including Finance, Operations, and Client Success teamsAd-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects to move the business forwardThe DetailsLocation:  Denver, CO – In officeTravel:  less than 10%Must be eligible to work in the United StatesMust pass comprehensive background screeningMust-have QualificationsBS in Accounting or Finance1-3 years prior work experienceGeneral understanding of US GAAPNetSuite experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially ExcelDetail-orientedStrong analytical, problem solving, and communications skillsEnjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teamsAbility to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervisionProven success in creating efficiencies in processes and proceduresYou’re a strong communicator, you’re persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You don’t get flustered easily.
