This role ensures seamless deployment of new hardware, secure data migration, and compliance with institutional IT standards. The technician provides on-site and remote support, maintains accurate asset records, and delivers exceptional customer service throughout the refresh and onboarding processes.Device Imaging & Deployment: Prepare and configure new desktops, laptops, and peripherals using enterprise imaging tools; Install approved software packages and validate system functionality.Data Migration & User Transition: Securely transfer user data and settings from old devices to new ones; Verify application compatibility and resolve migration issues.Hardware Lifecycle Management: Decommission old devices, ensuring proper sanitization and disposal per institutional policy; Maintain accurate inventory and update asset management systems.Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting during refresh and onboarding activities; Escalate complex issues following ITIL or organizational workflows.Documentation & Compliance: Record work notes and update service tickets in ITSM tools; Adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards during all refresh and onboarding operations.Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with Help Desk, Network, and Procurement teams; Communicate proactively with end-users to schedule refresh and onboarding appointments and minimize disruption.Other duties as assigned.Standard operating hours for this position are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
