Camp JCC Art Specialist

Camp JCC is seeking a qualified, energetic, and compassionate candidate as an ART TEACHER for summer 2026. The art teacher is responsible for planning and conducting art projects that foster an environment of fun and creativity. The position requires an ability to manage day-to-day interactions with children in grades K-9, a strong ability to work collaboratively with the Camp JCC team, and the capacity to be flexible.Applicant must be available to work Monday through Friday, June 8 through August 14 (8 weeks of camp plus staff week) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Minimum Qualifications:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Plans a variety of art projects for children ages 4 through 15Provides a planned and thoughtful program, infused with Jewish values, that will interest and excite campersAdapts individual and small-group instruction to the needs of campers with varying intellectual and artistic abilitiesMultitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyPlans and directs engaging, age-appropriate activitiesServes as a positive role model in the camp communityCommunicates with leadership to order supplies for projectsManages risk, supervises participants, and models safe best practices while workingOther duties as assigned by camp leadershipREQUIREMENTSExperience working with children in a camp, school or daycare environmentMust enjoy playing and interacting with childrenOrganized, enthusiastic, and energeticMust be a creative and innovative thinker and plannerMust take initiative, be self-directed, and capable of independently identifying and solving problemsMust have excellent communication skills and work well with both children and adultsPass a required background check
