LDAR Technician

At PROtect LLC, our Environmental Monitoring Technicians (LDAR) are the boots-on-the-ground pros keeping industrial facilities safe, compliant, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where your work is seen, valued, and essential to operations.What You’ll DoMonitor valves, pumps, and process components using Method 21 and other EPA protocolsRun assigned monitoring routes and document all components on scheduleCalibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld analyzersProcess leak tags and follow up on repaired equipmentWork closely with plant operations and maintenance teams to maintain complianceSpot opportunities to improve processes or site efficiencyFollow safety procedures and wear required PPE, including respiratorsSupport your team and take on new responsibilities as neededRequiredWhat We’re Looking ForAt least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GEDValid driver’s license and reliable transportation6+ months LDAR or industrial/environmental monitoring experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsComfortable lifting 50 lbs., climbing stairs/scaffolding, and working outdoors in all weatherGood communication skills and ability to work with plant staff and teammatesBasic computer skills (MS Excel, data entry, handheld devices/PDA)Strong safety mindsetPreferred2+ years LDAR experienceExperience with TVA 2020, MIC-6, and manual calibrationsFamiliarity with BWON, AVO inspections, QQQ reporting, or OGI/IR camerasPrior work in refineries or chemical plantsUnderstanding of P&IDs or emissions control systemsSchedule & BenefitsStandard schedule: 4-10s (four 10-hour shifts per week), may vary by siteCompetitive pay and overtime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHSA/FSA with company match401(k) with up to 4% match, 100% vested immediatelyPTO, relocation/travel opportunities, and referral bonusesContinued education reimbursement and free financial coachingMonthly and annual safety competitions with prizesClear career advancement opportunitiesWhy This Role At PROtect LLC, you’re not just another worker, you’re a valued part of a team trusted by top oil and gas operators across the country.
