Warehouse Material Handler

*POSITION OVERVIEW*
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse / Material Handler to support warehouse, logistics, and material operations on a large-scale data center construction project. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, storing, staging, tracking, and distributing construction materials and equipment to field crews.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4+ years of industrial warehouse experience, strong material handling experience, and a current OSHA 10 certification. Experience in data centers, industrial construction, power generation, manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, refineries, or similar heavy industrial environments is preferred.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Receive, unload, inspect, count, and document incoming materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
* Verify deliveries against packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, and material documentation.
* Report damaged, missing, overage, or incorrect materials to supervision.
* Label, organize, store, and maintain materials in designated warehouse and laydown areas.
* Stage and distribute materials to electrical, mechanical, piping, and other field crews.
* Maintain accurate inventory and material tracking records, including material check-in/check-out.
* Safely load and unload delivery trucks and use proper material handling techniques.
* Operate pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other approved material handling equipment.
* Operate forklifts when properly trained, certified, and authorized.
* Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation of material discrepancies.
* Protect materials and equipment from weather, moisture, dirt, impact, and other potential damage.
* Support equipment and material preservation activities as required.
* Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and laydown areas.
* Coordinate with warehouse supervision, logistics, procurement, and field leadership to ensure materials are available when needed.
* Follow all project-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and participate in safety meetings and JSA/JHA activities.
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* 4+ years of industrial warehouse experience - REQUIRED.
* Material handling experience - REQUIRED.
* OSHA 10 certification - REQUIRED.
* Previous experience in industrial construction or a heavy industrial environment.
* Experience receiving, storing, staging, tracking, and issuing construction materials.
* Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, bills of lading, and material lists.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and material accountability.
* Ability to safely operate standard warehouse and material handling equipment.
* Effective communication with supervisors, field personnel, vendors, and delivery drivers.
* Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime and weekends when required by project demands.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* Previous data center construction experience.
* Forklift certification and operating experience.
* Experience using electronic inventory or material management systems.
* Experience handling electrical, mechanical, piping, HVAC, or other industrial construction materials.
* Experience with industrial equipment preservation and manufacturer storage requirements.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
* Ability to work in warehouse, laydown yard, and active construction environments.
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb.
* Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Ability to wear all required PPE throughout the work shift.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT*
This position operates within an active data center construction environment and requires close coordination with warehouse personnel, construction supervision, delivery drivers, and multiple skilled-trade crews. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, organized, and experienced in industrial material handling, with a strong focus on material accountability, damage prevention, proper storage, housekeeping, and timely material distribution.
Pay: $30.00 - $37.50 per hour
