Familiarity with retailer relationships, cigar lounges, humidor management, and boutique brand positioning will accelerate success in this role.The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to lead and grow our Texas territory. This is a field-based, entrepreneurial role for a relationship-driven sales professional who can develop a market, build strong retail partnerships, and represent a factory-backed premium cigar brand.As the Account Executive for Texas, you will be the face of Barreda Cigars in your territory. You will drive new account acquisition and help position the brand within premium cigar retailers and lounges.Your impact will be measured by distribution growth, account quality, and long-term relationship development not just short-term sales.What You’ll Be Responsible ForTerritory Ownership & GrowthDevelop and execute a strategic territory plan across Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and surrounding areas)Drive revenue growth, distribution expansion, and sell-through across key accountsIdentify new opportunities and actively open new retail and lounge accountsRetail & Relationship DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and lounge managersSupport accounts with product education, merchandising, and brand positioningEnsure consistent brand presence and visibility in retail locationsBrand Representation & ActivationConduct product presentations, tastings, and in-store activationsRepresent Barreda Cigars at events, trade shows (including PCA), and brand experiencesSupport community-building initiatives within the cigar spaceExecution & Performance ManagementTrack territory performance, sales activity, and account developmentMaintain organized records of accounts, visits, and sales activityProvide market feedback, including customer insights, trends, and opportunitiesCoordinate with internal teams on inventory, logistics, and strategic prioritiesWhat Success Looks LikeConsistent opening of new accounts and expansion of territory distributionStrong portfolio of active accounts with recurring ordersHigh level of engagement and trust with retailers and lounge ownersEffective execution of events and brand activationsSustainable growth of the Barreda Cigars presence in TexasWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in outside sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targetsExperience in premium cigars, wine & spirits, or luxury goods preferredStrong relationship-building and communication skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based roleAbility to manage a large territory with frequent travelStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPassion for the premium cigar industry is highly valuedWhy Barreda CigarsThis is an opportunity to represent not only a premium cigar brand, but a fully integrated Nicaraguan manufacturer with international presence and strong growth potential in the U.S.If you are passionate about cigars, thrive in relationship-driven sales, and want to be part of building a brand in a key market—this role offers both autonomy and long-term opportunity.
