As a Painter, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Director of Painting and Executive Director of Construction to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents. Responsibilities Complete pre-construction checks and observations. Maintain the highest level of safety and protection for the patients and staff. Undergo extensive training during the initial stages of services being provided to learn the unique needs of our residents. Complete all necessary painting checks and observations. The ability to accurately fill in missing or vacant parts on a project. The ability to perform various painting techniques including: spray paint, hand painting, wallpaper installation, drywall repair, stucco repair, painting trim and paintable surfaces (exposed and concealed areas). The ability to use various tools (brushes, rags, etc.)to complete painting jobs. The ability to safely work in all aspects of managing a project from start to finish. The ability to work with a variety of materials including plaster, vinyl, drywall repair, stucco repair, painting trim and paintable surfaces (exposed and concealed areas). The ability to follow all company policies and procedures (P&S) – including safety measures and adherence to appropriate federal, state, and local regulations. Set-up for the next day’s projects with specific instructions written by the Director of Construction. Be able to listen and communicate effectively with staff and residents to ensure proper communication is maintained among all departments. Complete any additional tasks or assignments given by the Director of Construction or Plant Manager. Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Experience with plastering, painting, drywall repair, stucco repair, or other carpentry skills preferred. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to make independent decisions when attending client appointments or working on projects with no supervision. Ability to handle physical workload while working on projects (herding cattle is not recommended). Ability to see details small enough for accuracy completion using regular vision lenses or similar vision lenses designed for viewing details.
