Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our dental practice. As an Associate Dentist, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages as early as 5 years old. You will work closely with our team of dental professionals to deliver exceptional oral healthcare services. Pay can be per day and/or production. We can discuss best option for candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental examinations, including checking vital signs and conducting patient assessments
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions, such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay
- Create treatment plans and discuss them with patients to ensure their understanding and consent
- Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals, crown preparation, root planning and scaling, pulpotomy, partials and full dentures.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide coordinated patient care
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using open Dental software
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in dentistry and attend continuing education courses as required
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in record keeping and treatment planning
- In-depth knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols
- Strong understanding of human anatomy as it relates to oral health
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes is a plus
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for restorative dentistry is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
Experience
- Degree in Dentistry from an accredited institution
- State licensure to practice as a Dentist
- Knowledge of infection control protocols in a dental setting
