Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)Hours | Schedule: 3 days a week, 8 hour shiftsTemporary Position: Starting Mid October for 12 weeksLocation | Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Kresge Health & Rehab Center & Memory Care/Assisted LivingOverviewThe Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency impairments.What You’ll DoPerforms hearing and/or speech and language examinations. Evaluates hearing and /or speech and language test results. Evaluates barium swallow, other test results, and overall medical background.Diagnoses patients and formulates treatment plans.Educates patients and family members about the various communication methods to cope with impairment. Writes reports and maintains client information.Performs administrative responsibilities: coordinates paperwork, writes lesson plans, schedules case management activities, and performs record-keeping for administrative, billing and caseload purposes. Develops individual and/or group activities and/or programs.Participates in the planning and implementing of individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.
