Infinitek is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer to recruit a Process Engineer to join a high-performing operations team in El Dorado, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about process safety, optimization, and continuous improvement within a complex manufacturing setting.The OpportunityAs a Process Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for your assigned unit, driving safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You'll work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve process stability, enhance asset performance, and embed strong operating discipline across the plant.This role offers a balance of day-to-day operational support and long-term process improvement initiatives, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both problem-solving in real time and implementing sustainable engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceMaintain a strong field presence, reinforcing safe work practices and operational disciplineLead and support Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and risk assessmentsProvide technical leadership during incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actionsKeep process safety documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, relief systems, mass & energy balances) accurate and up to dateIdentify and mitigate process safety risks within assigned unitsOperations Support & LeadershipBuild strong relationships with operators and frontline teams through regular field engagementTranslate complex engineering concepts into clear, practical guidanceReview operational data (logs, alarms, trends) to identify performance gapsAct as the technical lead during plant upsets, troubleshooting and supporting rapid recoveryPromote a collaborative, feedback-driven team environmentProcess Optimization & PerformanceMonitor and drive KPIs including yield, energy usage, raw material efficiency, and asset utilizationDiagnose and resolve chronic process issues in collaboration with subject matter expertsOptimize use of control systems and process automation technologiesLead initiatives to improve throughput, efficiency, and overall plant performanceCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teamsProvide technical input on projects focused on process control and asset reliabilityContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or related discipline)Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing environments preferredStrong knowledge of process safety, environmental regulations, and quality systemsProven ability to drive improvements and collaborate across departmentsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
