Job Description: Java AWS ArchitectLocation: Irving, TX (onsite)Duration: 12+ MonthsW2 Contract, No C2CRequired Skills:Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, MicroservicesDeep AWS architecture and implementation expertise, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatchTerraform and/or CloudFormation (Infrastructure as Code).Strong database experience with Aurora, RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and distributed systemsCloud-native, event-driven architecture design and implementationExperience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor AIAWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.Responsibilities:Act as a hands-on Architect/Principal Engineer building secure, scalable, cloud-native platform services.Lead architecture design, modernization, cloud migration, technical decisions, and performance optimization.Drive best practices for design patterns, software engineering, database design, data modeling, query optimization, and high-availability architectures.Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, data-intensive applications.Ideal Candidate:Recent hands-on Java/Spring Boot development experience.Strong AWS architecture background beyond basic service usage.Expertise across relational and NoSQL databases.Self-driven, ownership-oriented engineer with a principal-engineering mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Proven experience designing secure, scalable, event-driven solutions and leading technical initiatives.
