JV Girls Tennis Coach

Title: Girls JV Tennis Coach Position Type: Supplemental Reports to: Athletic Director Qualifications: Experience in the designated sportMust meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education, ODE and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certificationPrior coaching experience preferredVan certification preferred Essential Job Functions:Assist the head coach in the supervision and instruction of the GHHS boys tennis team consisting of approximately 10-12 girl student-athletes.Assist Head Coach in scheduling tennis matches.Conduct regular practices for the team.Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.Coaching will require five days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.Work under the direction of the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach and the Athletic DirectorOther duties as assigned by the supervisor.
