Lecture, hands-on skills lab and on-site clinical training at the local hospital and/or nursing home.Weeks 1-3: 32 hours per weekWeeks 4-5: 40 hours per weekWeek 6: 32 hours per weekLocations• MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital, Damariscotta• MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick• MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, Biddeford• MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, Portland• MaineHealth Stephens Hospital, NorwaySummary: This position consists of 32 hours per week.Under the supervision and direction of the Certified Nursing Assistant Program Instructor and/or Clinical Supervisor, Certified Nursing Assistant Preceptors, and/or long-term care facility's Charge Nurses, the Apprentice - Certified Nursing Assistant role provides direct care to assigned residents/patients.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.License/Certifications: Must be accepted into an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program.Experience: N/AAdditional Skills/Requirements Required: Completion of the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS ABE) with a score of 239 higher, OR completed two semesters of college level English with a B- or higher OR a minimum of an associate's degreeAdditional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/AHiring Scam AlertMaineHealth will never request financial information during the interview or pre-hiring process.
