Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Reliability EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing plant performance by optimizing product rates, yields, and quality, while aligning with business needs and Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) standards. You will provide technical support, use statistical techniques to improve process capability and control, and employ failure analysis methodologies to identify root causes and recommend solutions.Responsibilities+ Recommend and implement improvements in plant performance to optimize product rates, yields, and quality.+ Provide technical support to resolve problems and use statistical techniques to improve process capability and control.+ Employ failure analysis methodologies to identify root causes and recommend solutions.+ Collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve company goals.+ Provide support for the site mechanical integrity program by investigating equipment issues and eliminating the recurrence of failures.+ Review maintenance work plans to ensure optimum preventative maintenance scheduling and maintenance work practices.+ Develop Asset Care Plans to monitor the condition of plant equipment and maximize safety and reliability.+ Assist in the design, procurement, and installation of new equipment.+ Recommend, develop, and coordinate capital improvements.+ Support and implement new product and process development.+ Create manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures for process and equipment operation.+ Conduct 'end-of-life' assessments and make recommendations for equipment repairs and replacements.+ Identify and implement improvements in equipment monitoring capabilities.+ Serve as Process Safety Management (PSM) custodian, participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), and ensure product and process changes follow Management of Change (MOC) principles.+ Provide training for manufacturing personnel.+ Monitor maintenance and capital projects and external contractors in accordance with site regulations and standards.+ Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System as per RC14001 technical specification.Essential Skills+ Knowledge of chemical manufacturing process technologies, engineering principles, mechanical and instrumentation systems.+ Familiarity with calibration and maintenance, and local and distributed control systems.+ Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodologies and reliability analysis tools.+ Understanding of confined space entry, lockout-tag-out, hot-work permitting, etc.+ Statistical analysis and equipment diagnostic skills.+ Project management skills including scheduling, safety oversight, and contractor management.+ Bachelor/University degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.+ Minimum 4+ years' experience in manufacturing.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Process engineering+ Root cause analysis+ Process improvement+ Manufacturing process+ Reliability engineering+ Continuous improvementWork EnvironmentThe work environment includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to site regulations and standards, and involvement in safety management practices.
