Cloud Data Engineer

Broadview Technical Solutions is hiring a Cloud Data Engineer for a fully remote, long-term contract supporting a large public-sector data modernization program. You will architect and build enterprise data warehouse and analytics systems on the Microsoft Azure stack, standing up the pipelines that move and transform data across on-premise and cloud sources for reporting used throughout the organization.This is a senior, hands-on engineering role. You will own the design, not just the build, and work closely with the database, reporting, and BI teams.What you will doArchitect and develop end-to-end data warehouse and analytical systems using the SQL Server family, Analysis Services, and Power BIBuild and optimize pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse, including incremental loads, transformation, and error handlingWork across Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, and App Service in both IaaS and PaaS environmentsIngest data through APIs and streaming, and model warehouses using Kimball or Inmon approachesImplement DevOps CI/CD and infrastructure as code for repeatable, governed deploymentsTune performance and enforce data security across environmentsWhat we are looking for12+ years architecting, designing, and building data warehouse systems at enterprise scale, on-premise and cloudExpert-level Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and Azure Data LakeStrong SQL Server family, Analysis Services, and Power BISolid data warehouse modeling (Kimball, Inmon) and pipeline designExperience with DevOps CI/CD and infrastructure as codeNoSQL experience with Azure Cosmos DBNice to haveAzure Databricks, HDInsight with Spark, Stream Analytics, or IoTMicrosoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)C#, PowerShell, or PythonAWS exposure alongside AzureRelevant Azure certificationsThe detailsRemote, United StatesContract, open to W2 or C2CRate: $82 to $95 per hour, based on experience
