The Barron Center campus is seeking an individual to join the facilities team. The ideal team member will be a leader that takes pride in their work and values working in a long term care facility. The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of building maintenance.
Hours:
Schedule Day shift - Monday - Friday and rotating on-call service.
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and ability to make repairs
Physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions.
Winter operations requires the ability to respond to storm snow removal on a rotation with the maintenance.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and residents of the Barron Center.
Valid Maine Class B driver’s license (must provide license number) or a qualified candidate may be hired as Maintenance Worker I with valid Maine Class C license and ability to obtain Class B within six (6) months. Candidates must have and maintain a good driving record.
Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment.
Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
