Heavy Equipment Operator

Job description Under supervision, operates a crane in a facility, unloading or loading trucks and rail cars with material, sorting material in yard Unloads customer vehicles including small or medium trucks or semi-trailers Sorts material in appropriate areas Loads trucks and rail cars with scrap material Insures torch cutter is supplied with material to torch Inspects all loads according to yard standards, ensuring rail cars and semi-trailers are safe to leave the yard Inspects all inbound/outbound material Greases and changes oil on machine. Handles minor maintenance duties on the crane. Drives semis around the yard while moving scrap material Other responsibilities as assigned Must wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard Pay is based on experience Job Type: Full-time
