Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionSummary:Looking for a well-rounded individual to join and help support the Killam Companies Information Technology Department.Essential Duties/responsibilitiesProvide support to users and serve as the first point of contact for support requestsTroubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely mannerInstall, configure, and manage hardware and software components to ensure usabilityInstall, configure, and manage IP phones and video conferencing systemsInstall and terminate Cat 5 / Cat 6 cablingUpgrade system components and reinstall compatible operating systems and required softwareInstall and upgrade antivirus software to maintain security at the user levelMaintain system updates and patches across computers, iPhones, iPads, and other organizational devicesMonitor internal system reporting tools, report vulnerabilities, and partner with the IT team to resolve themPerform tests and evaluations of new hardware and softwareMaintain hardware and software inventoryDevelop and maintain IT documentation and proceduresBuild and maintain strong working relationships across all departmentsStay current with emerging trends and technologies in IT supportRequirementsTechnical Requirements:Windows 10/11 macOSMicrosoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, AccessActive Directory Network troubleshootingVMwareExchange ServerAntivirus and Firewall FunctionsCCTV IP-Phone/ VoIP systemsVPN SQL FundamentalsInternet security and data privacy principlesEvent log analysisRemote support toolsPrinter and peripheral supportEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate Degree in Computer Science, or similar relevant fieldCertifications are a plus but not required ex. Constantly uses fingers and hands when dialing/answering the telephone and operating a computer or other office machinery, such as a copy machine, scanner, and computer printer.Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or detect objects in and around job site over the telephone.Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents; operate a computer or other office machinery.Walk short distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces.Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.Working ConditionsMajority of work is performed in an office atmosphere located inside a building with no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
