Experienced Manager, Management ConsultingThe Experienced Manager, Management Consulting will provide clients healthcare consulting services by assessing the client's business needs, recommending and implementing technology, systems, applications, and operational solutions, and managing deliverables to timeline and budget. The position reflects significant industry experience in a hospital or practice setting with mainstream EHR or practice management systems.Job DutiesConsults with clients to identify operational goals and needs then translates the client's needs into detail requirement specificationsProvides leadership and takes ownership of large projects from start to finish to ensure client satisfaction and to meet the project goals and objectivesCommunicates with BDO senior leadership and client management to meet project budget and target datesDocuments the current state workflowsReviews, analyzes, and modifies designated systems including completing configuration, testing, and documentationEnsures client engagement expectations and deliverable deadlines are metPrepares and completes action plans, determines system improvements, resolves problems, and implements necessary changes as identifiedInvestigates alternative solutions including feasibility using vendor analysis and vendor evaluationsIdentifies new opportunities for implementation, optimization, upgrades, and ongoing application support in conjunction with MC Business DevelopmentTravel may be an essential requirement for this position (dependent on client requirements) and could require a commitment of up to 100% travelOther duties as requiredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises the day-to-day workload on assigned engagements and reviews work productQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation:High School Diploma/GED AND eight (8) or more years of industry experience with EHR/Practice Management vendor systems, required OR Bachelor's degree AND (6) or more years of industry experience with EHR/Practice Management vendor systems, requiredBachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems, preferredExperience:Ten (10) years of healthcare industry experience, with a vendor or consulting organization, or within a large provider-based delivery system, requiredExperience with EHR or practice management system vendors such as Epic, Cerner, athenaIDX, Allscripts, requiredFive (5) years of Epic build/optimization experience, preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s)/Affiliation(s):Epic Certification, preferredSoftware:Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, requiredProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio, requiredProficient in the use of SharePoint, preferredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Executive presence, with the ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsInterpersonal able to establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with all levels of client staff including senior leadership, BDO employees and the general publicPresentation able to communicate information professionally and formally to client through meetings and written presentationsLeadership proven ability to proactively lead and develop team to reach project goals and objectivesIndependence proven ability to manage small to medium projects including development of scope, project plan and timeline, status reports, and other tools to ensure successful client engagementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skillsStrong analytical and advanced research skills related to industry trends, market competition and technologySolid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAble to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm and with clientsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal staff members and clientsAbility to encourage a team environment on engagements, and contribute to the professional development of assigned staff membersTravel may be an essential requirement for this position (dependent on client requirements) and could require a commitment of up to 100% travelIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $140,000 - $170,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $140,000 - $170,000 Maryland Range: $140,000 - $170,000
