The Memphis VA Medical Center has an opening for an on-site Primary Care (PC) Physician that offers a dual academic appointment with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). The position reports directly to the Chief of Primary Care and works as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that collaborates with other members of the team to provide Primary Care to Veterans. The Medical Center consists of one main campus and ten community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs). It s a 1a-complexity tertiary care VA healthcare system located in one of the fastest-growing Veteran population regions in the United States. The facility provides comprehensive care to over 47,000 veterans in a 52-county area of Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. It includes 236 inpatient beds with a 26-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extensive education and research programs.
