By prioritizing the health of our land and fostering meaningful partnerships, we aim to be a key player in sustainable food systems.Role DescriptionThe Farm Manager is responsible for the health and maintenance of livestock, field crops, orchards, and greenhouses. We are a research farm, so the ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude and willing to try (and sometimes fail) new things untraditional to the mainstream farming industry. As a startup, this is a great opportunity to be a part of early-stage innovative conservation efforts to better our planet, with substantial room to grow with the company.Role Details$21-$35 hourly DOEFull-timeOccasional weekends requiredHours may vary depending on season or market daysPotential for onsite housing accomodationsRole ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and oversee planting, cultivation, and harvesting activitiesManage livestock care, including feeding, breeding, and health monitoringSupervise, train, and schedule farm workersMonitor farm performance, yields, and operational efficiencyMaintain and operate farm equipment and machineryManage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationshipsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and agricultural regulationsKeep accurate records of farm operations, budgets, and productionManage volunteers and internsPlan and host farm eventsApply for grants and oversee fundraising effortsAdministrative duties as necessaryPreferred ExperiencePractical knowledge and experience with regenerative farming practices in a medium to large scale polyculture environmentSpanish/English proficiency
