Position Summary: The Intern, Analytical Development and Quality Control assists laboratory projects by performing assays, basic statistical analysis, and routine laboratory functions. The intern presents work and progress to the team at the end of the internship.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Perform biological or chemical assays, analyze data, and prepare reports to fulfill individual project goals.
Assist scientists with daily laboratory functions as required.
This role may be filled within the Analytical Development or Quality Control Departments.
By the end of the internship, the intern will have performed at least one assay, analyzed data, and presented work to the team; will have a deeper understanding of analytics in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated GMP skills.
Competencies
Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Computer proficient with intermediate office program skills.
Experience Requirements
Education: Rising junior or senior in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
One semester of laboratory coursework.
