Call Center Collections Representative

The Collections Representative position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group’s Collections Department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and ready to handle consumer interactions. Consumer interactions consist of negotiating repayment plans, answering questions, and arranging for payments. We are seeking a candidate that has experience with, or is eager to learn about, the legal and collection processes. We provide a robust training program to prepare call center representatives to immediately handle calls and provide a professional customer experience. This position is not remote. As our team-members progress and demonstrate a consistent ability to meet performance standards, promotional opportunities become available.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEfficiently assist customers through both inbound (90%) and outbound (10%) calls while educating them on their options for account resolutionDevelop a trusted relationship with customers, third parties, attorneys, representatives, realtors, etc. to ensure timely handling of all accounts through the collections processMaintain detailed document records of all customer communications including payment plans that customers have agreed to and amounts paid via telephoneEnsure the prompt and successful delivery of solutions according to customer and client needsClearly communicate the progress of accounts and their respective status within the collections pipelineDemonstrate exceptional listening skills, while displaying professionalism and empathy for our customers’ individual needs and circumstancesQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Customer service and pleasant manneredProficient data entry and computer skills including Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent oral, verbal, and written communicationProblem-solving skillsAccount documentation skillsActive listening skillsAttention to detailNegotiation skillsPreferred QualificationsMust be Bilingual: Spanish/EnglishPrior call center and/ or collector experienceRAS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
