Company DescriptionMeddleton Equine Clinic, Inc. is located in Corrales, NM.We provide the Central New Mexico equine community with general equine veterinary medicine with a focus on Equine Sports Medicine and Regenerative Therapies.The practice consists of 99% Equine cases. Of that, 60% are farm calls and 40% are in clinic cases. Position is full time, averaging 36-40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8 am to end.We strive to create a positive and supportive environment for both our clients and staff.Role DescriptionAll aspects of an Equine Veterinary Assistant or Technician duties.Must have experience and comfort handling horses and be able to do heavy work like pulling shoes, carrying heavy equipment, and a lot of jogging horses for lameness exams.Position entails all aspects of equine veterinary medicine and the occasional spay / neuter surgery day where the assistant will run anesthesia.See www.meddletonequine.com for more information about the practice.QualificationsStrong skills in horse handling.Experience with Veterinary Medicine practices and proceduresDriver's license in good standing.Communications skills are essential.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentOrganizational skills and attention to detail is critical.Previous experience in horse handling, husbandry, and management.Physical ability to handle and care for equine patients safely
