Instructional Systems Designer with Security Clearance

In this role, you will collaborate with pilots and maintainers experienced in high-performance 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft to design and develop courses, curricula, training modules, and other educational products. The ISD will apply expertise in needs assessments, task and training analyses, course design, instructional methodologies, and emerging technologies to continuously improve Boeing's pilot and maintainer training programs. This position involves high-visibility work with multiple stakeholders and requires the ability to adapt quickly to new processes, content, and tools. Position Responsibilities Conduct analyses (training needs, task, fidelity, media, mission, situational, learning analytics, and evaluation/assessment) to define training requirementsResearch and analyze data when source information is incomplete or unavailableCollaborate with SMEs, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy of training contentLead and support stakeholder conversations, design reviews, and product expectationsDevelop instructional strategies, style guides, media guides, and courseware design standardsSupport development of innovative, high-fidelity training products including 2D art, animations, and interactive simulationsEvaluate and report on business impacts of training programsWork autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment on high-visibility defense programsTrack and trace digital threads across SOW, contractual requirements, product creation, training devices, and coursewareManage project timelines, requirements, and deliverables across multiple teams and stakeholdersBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years' analysis experience in logistics and training (Level 3) covering task analysis, training needs analysis, media analysis, fidelity analysis, mission/situational analysis, learning analytics, evaluation/assessment analysisStrong ability to research, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training solutions with incomplete data sourcesAbility to incorporate learning analytics beyond tests/surveys to measure training effectivenessStrong leadership skills to drive customer and stakeholder engagementsProject management experience managing large-scale training development effortsAbility to quickly learn new processes, content, training devices, and toolsExperience evaluating and reporting on business impacts of training programsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 9+ years' analysis experience in logistics and training (Level 4)14+ years' analysis experience in logistics and training (Level 5)Experience supporting defense programs with military customersHigh-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience designing in Storyline, Articulate, CaptivateExperience with LMS platforms (Moodle, Cornerstone On Demand)Knowledge of contracts, copyright law, export/import controlsExperience with Agile, Lean, and/or Six Sigma methodologiesBackground in working with engineering documents and CDRLs (Contract Data Requirements Lists)Typical Education/Experience Career (Level 3): Bachelor's degree + 5+ years related experience, or equivalent (Master's+3, PhD, or 9 years' related experience)
