HR Generalist (25-30 hrs per week)
Position SummaryYellow Tree Property Management is seeking an HR Generalist to support and enhance our people operations across property management, construction, and development. This role will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, employee relations, and HR compliance.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the administrative and people-facing sides of HR and is excited to build and improve processes in a growing organization.Essential FunctionsRecruiting & HiringManage job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate communicationConduct pre-screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managersPrepare and extend job offers and manage offer negotiationsSupport workforce planning and hiring strategiesOnboarding & Employee ExperienceCoordinate new hire onboarding and first-day orientationEnsure all onboarding documentation is completed and compliantMaintain a positive and organized onboarding experienceSupport employee engagement initiatives and company culture programsHR Operations & ComplianceMaintain employee records and HR systems (BambooHR or similar)Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsAssist with policy development, updates, and employee handbook maintenanceManage background checks and pre-employment requirementsBenefits AdministrationAdminister employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other ancillary benefitsServe as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollment, and issue resolutionManage open enrollment process, including communication, system updates, and employee supportCoordinate with benefits brokers and vendors to ensure accurate and timely administrationMaintain accurate benefits records and ensure proper deductions and payroll alignmentProcess qualifying life events and ensure compliance with applicable regulationsAssist with reporting, audits, and required filingsPayroll & Compensation SupportProcess payroll and ensure accuracy of wages, commissions, and bonusesAudit payroll data and resolve discrepanciesSupport benefits administration and employee questionsAssist with compensation tracking and reportingEmployee Relations & SupportServe as a resource for employee questions and concernsSupport performance management and employee development processesPartner with leadership on employee relations mattersPromote a positive and professional workplace cultureExperience & Skills3+ years of HR experience preferred (generalist experience strongly preferred)Knowledge of HR best practices and employment lawsExperience with payroll processing and HRIS systems (BambooHR a plus)Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentialitySelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
