School-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Overview Integrity Learning Center is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide support within a school environment, implementing 1:1 teaching and behavior intervention programs for children with developmental disorders. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the academic and personal success of learners by helping them reach their full potential through implementing behavior intervention plans, promoting positive behavior change, assisting with daily self-help skills, and fostering the development of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a school setting. Responsibilities Implementation of School-Based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy: Demonstrate a commitment to the values of Integrity Learning Center daily, displaying good judgment and decision-making skills in the school environment. Provide 1:1 direct instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with autism within the classroom or other school settings in collaboration with school staff and supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Execute acquisition & mastered programs as prescribed by the client’s treatment team in collaboration with school staff. Engage client in meaningful and structured activities, adhering to the guidelines of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP). Capture, contrive, and engage client in natural environment training and incidental teaching opportunities throughout the school day. Assist in client programming and support as instructed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or school-based clinical team. Data Collection: Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely data collection on progress, behaviors, and other relevant information as required by the school and treatment team. Take and maintain detailed behavior notes, documentation, and progress reports as needed. Complete daily progress notes accurately and in a timely manner following each school session. Behavior Intervention: Implement appropriate behavior management techniques within the classroom and other school environments as prescribed by the client’s BIP. Collaborate with school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for clients. Adherence to Values and Policies: Demonstrate a commitment to promoting Integrity, Excellence, Creativity, Social Responsibility, and Caring in all aspects of the job. Use social media responsibly in accordance with school and organizational guidelines. Stay current on CPR training and quality standards for crisis management techniques. Exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the school and therapy environment, strictly maintaining all HIPAA requirements. Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for Responsible Conduct. Other Duties: Maintain a clean, organized, and conducive learning environment for clients. Perform other duties as assigned by the BCBA or management team. Report to therapy appointments on time and communicate any absences as soon as possible. Maintain effective and professional communication with school staff, management, and parents. Qualifications RBT Certification: Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disorders in a school setting is preferred. Must be dependable and have a passion for working with children. Familiarity with play-based ABA therapy approaches is a plus. Skills and Strengths: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with school staff and parents. Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience in therapeutic interactions with clients. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a school environment.
