POSITION SUMMARY: The material handler will maintain materials and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between the production and warehouse area. Materials will include WIP and finish goods in the warehouse and on the production floor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads production schedules, inventory reports to determine the type and quantity of materials required and available for production. Ability to work at least one day on the weekend Communicates with shift Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager of material status. Responsible for keeping machines supplied with necessary material. Will mix additives and colorants into raw materials according to instructions by the shift Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. Moves raw materials to hopper loaders and ensures hopper loaders are working. Responsible for labeling all regrind and virgin (if necessary) material and move such material to the proper location at the end of each job. Isolate and contain any suspect raw material. Clean dryers and hoppers. Assists with providing breaks for operators. Daily removal of trash and breaking down of corrugated boxes for recycling. Disposition completed molded products into IQMS. Assist with monthly inventory. Assist with providing breaks for operators.
