Cloud Security Engineer

Cloud Engineer Concordant LLC | Concordant LLC seeks a Cloud Engineer to support the deployment and management of a state-wide IT shared services cloud initiative. This role will support further development of a statewide cloud strategy, work with agencies on cloud adoption, and support a managed cloud broker model. This is a 12-month engagement with possibility for extension. Position Summary This role assists with day-to-day operations and migrations to AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure as the organization transitions to a managed cloud broker. Key Responsibilities Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP) Work with technology operations and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to cloud infrastructure Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems 10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands-on engineering 5-7 years of AWS experience (IAM, Organizations, networking architectures, cost management controls) 3-5 years of Azure experience (RBAC, Azure AD, networking architectures, cost management controls) 3-7 years of enterprise cloud architecture or governance experience 3-5 years of Terraform and infrastructure as code experience 3-5 years of cloud migrations and platform operations experience 3+ years of technical leadership and knowledge transfer experience Public cloud infrastructure expertise Preferred Qualifications Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code, scaling technologies and solutions Experience with AWS or other clouds, familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms Security, penetration testing, and threat detection tools experience Experience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix Background in DevOps, software development, site reliability, or systems engineering Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment AWS and/or Azure certifications Location The consultant will be onsite for the first week to get acclimated to the team, then transition to approximately 3 days per month onsite, with the remainder remote. Onsite cadence is scheduled with the manager after start. Duration 12 months, with possibility for extension.
