Wine Ambassador

As a dedicated Ambassador you will greet all visitors and pour wine for tastings. Must be able to describe our wines, winemaking technique, our commitment to a circular economy, and an overview of our history. Under general supervision, you'll work as part of a team to support tasting room operations in a manner that achieves the established financial goals, ensures exceptional customer service, and help build consumer loyalty and reflects the brand essence. Duties Host wine tastings Prepare the tasting room for opening and closing Describe wines, winemaking, circular economy, and winery history Engage the customers through attentive listening and story telling Process orders through POS system and handheld devicesManage wine pours throughout the shift Be proactive in getting customer information, promoting the wine club and selling wine Help to keep the tasting room clean throughout the shift, including parking area, patio, BOH and bathrooms Knowledgeable of food menu and daily specials Knowledge of all tasting menus, wine bottles, and wine club levels Communicate customer service issues with your manager Assist with events as needed including setting up and breaking down Assist with off-site pouring events as needed by management Accurate entry of wine clubs into our system Wash and polish stemware Collaborate with Co-workers to provide superior guest experience Perform other duties as requested by management About you High school diploma or equivalent 1 year experience in the hospitality industry Passionate about wine Strong sales and wine club conversion skills Clean, professional appearance Ability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as requested by management Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (case of wine) Basic computer skills Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and work in an outdoor environment Must be 21 or older Ability to help support other Lecavalier locations as needed by management Ability to travel to offsite meetings and support business delivery California Food Handler and TIPS certification required J-18808-Ljbffr
